Mersea is well known for its fresh seafood being sourced right from the coast that it sits on. This means that all of our food is super fresh just caught out of the sea and served on your plate. Here at our fish bar, we really have a passion for our food. It’s really reflected in the quality of food that we serve to you. If seafood is your thing then I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed! Our whole team here are friendly and helpful so please don’t hesitate to grab someone if you need anything while you’re visiting. At our fish bar in Colchester you can find all types of seafood. Choose from prawns, crayfish, salmon, crab, roll mops, jellied eels, tiger prawns and much more. Of course we sell all of the traditional favourites here such as pies, sausages, burgers and chips. We know that seafood isn’t for everyone and we like to cater for all tastes. If you’re brave enough, we are lucky to have the famous Mersea Island Oysters here which are an acquired taste we hear. There is something on our menu for everyone. If you are going to be visiting with a larger party then we always recommend letting us know before you come down.

You can sit down in our seafood restaurant or just grab a takeaway from the fish bar. We’ll wrap your food up so it stays warm for when you get home. If you have any special requirements then just speak to one of our friendly team and we will do everything we can to accommodate.
